This Privacy Policy explains how Swissperiences (“we”, “us”) handles personal information on nosypup.com (the “Site”), through the NosyPup waitlist, and when you buy and activate NosyPup.
The NosyPup app itself works on your Mac: camera images, photos and videos stay on your Mac and go only to your own Telegram bot. They never reach us.
Questions or requests: [email protected].
Personal information we collect
Information you give us. When you join the waitlist, we collect:
- your email address;
- the date and time you joined;
- which form on the Site you used (for example, “landing”).
When you buy NosyPup. Purchases are processed and sold by Stripe via Link, as reseller and merchant of record. Stripe and Link act as independent controllers of your payment and tax data, under their own privacy policies. We receive your email address and a record of the purchase; we never see your full card details. We create a license key and email it to you.
When you activate the app. The app sends your license key and a code derived from your Mac (a one-way hash, not its serial number) to our license server, so we can allow up to 2 Macs per license. It checks again about once a week while you’re online.
Information we don’t collect. We don’t ask for your name, and the Site has no accounts, no cookies, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking pixels.
Our hosting provider. Cloudflare, which hosts the Site, processes basic technical data, such as your IP address, to deliver the Site and protect it from abuse. We don’t use this data to identify you or build a profile of you.
How we use your personal information
- Waitlist emails. To tell you about NosyPup: its launch and important news about it. Every email will include a way to unsubscribe.
- Purchases and licenses. To process your purchase, send your license key, activate it on your Macs, handle refunds and answer support requests.
- Security and compliance. To keep the Site and the waitlist safe from abuse and spam, and to meet our legal obligations.
We don’t sell your personal information, use it for advertising, or make automated decisions about you.
Legal bases
Where data protection law requires a legal basis (for example, the GDPR, Switzerland’s Federal Act on Data Protection or Brazil’s LGPD), we rely on:
- Consent for waitlist emails: you give it by submitting the waitlist form, and you can withdraw it at any time by unsubscribing or writing to us. We keep the date you joined and which form you used as a record of it.
- Contract for purchases and licenses: we need this information to sell you NosyPup and let you use it.
- Legitimate interests for keeping the Site, the waitlist and the license server secure.
- Legal obligations where the law requires us to keep or disclose information.
How we share your personal information
We share it only with the providers that run NosyPup on our behalf:
- Cloudflare hosts the Site, the waitlist and the license server (Cloudflare D1 databases).
- Stripe and Link sell and process purchases as merchant of record. For payment and tax data they are independent controllers, not our processors.
- Resend sends the email with your license key.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others. We don’t share it with anyone else.
Where your information is stored
The waitlist database is located in Europe. Cloudflare, Inc. is based in the United States and operates worldwide, so your information may also be processed in other countries, including the United States. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-U.S. and Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Frameworks, and its data processing terms include the EU Standard Contractual Clauses as a fallback safeguard.
How long we keep it
Waitlist: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or until we stop sending NosyPup news, whichever comes first.
Purchases and licenses: for as long as your license is active, plus the period the law requires us to keep purchase records for accounting and tax.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:
- access the information we hold about you;
- correct it if it’s wrong;
- delete it;
- give you a copy in a machine-readable format;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- withdraw your consent at any time.
To do any of this, email [email protected]. We may ask you to confirm that the email address is yours. You can also complain to your data protection authority, for example the FDPIC in Switzerland, the ANPD in Brazil, or the authority where you live in the EU or UK.
Security
We use technical and organizational measures designed to protect your information, such as encrypted connections (HTTPS) and restricted access to the database. No system is perfectly secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.
Children
The Site and the waitlist are not intended for children under 16. If you believe a child has given us their email, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Other sites
The Site may link to other websites, such as Telegram. We don’t control them, and their own privacy policies apply.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we’ll tell people on the waitlist by email.
